I cannot tell you how excited I am to be able to bring you Sacred this year!

Sacred is one weekend for all women – devoted to meeting with God. Something remarkable and irreversible happens when the ordinary is made sacred. When ordinary women, in an ordinary time and place, devote themselves to meeting the Living God.

The ordinary woman becomes changed by glory.
The ordinary time becomes a mighty moment with God.
The ordinary place becomes holy ground.

Sacred is that moment when a woman comes face to face with the glory of God.

Once we were Soul Spa, now we are Sacred. All the extras, the fillers and the frills are gone – and along with them, much of the cost of attending has gone too! Yay!! Moving from Soul Spa to Sacred has meant that we are able to offer Sacred to you at the crazy price of $30!

It's a weekend free of life's distraction, and filled with warmth, love and fun. Oh, and as always, there will be a super yummy morning and afternoon tea!

Guest Speaker: Janie Alfred

When our dear friend Debbi Bryson told us about Janie Alfred, we were immediately fascinated. Could Janie possibly be as fabulous as Debbi?! Could Janie be used by God to the degree that Debbi has been used by God in our lives? And then we met Janie over the phone and we were hooked! Janie is a 62 year old woman who has a remarkable story of God in her life. Growing up as a missionary kid in Brazil, Janie went on to meet Jesus for herself in her university years. Janie became a kindergarten, high school and university teacher and married Justin, a church pastor. Janie and Justin had five daughters, one of whom was killed by her boyfriend in 2006.

The powerful, passionate way in which Janie teaches God’s Word is a rare and beautiful thing. We just can’t wait for you to meet Janie - we’ve told her all about you!

Sacred Impacts the World

When was the last time 500 women went out on mass into the community in the power of the Holy Spirit to share the compassion and gospel of Jesus Christ? Can you even begin to imagine what might happen as a result of such an endeavour? Heaven opening wide, and a gentle revolution of grace and love and power flowing through the streets of our land. Glorious!

Sacred is about two things this year:

• Encounter: Meeting with God and being changed by Him. 
• Impact: Sharing the love and power of God with the world He died for.  

This year we encourage every woman who attends Sacred to participate in Impact in some way. Maybe you would like to be involved in a prayer walk – praying over specific areas of the city and specific needs of this country. Maybe you would like to get involved in a letterbox drop, praying over houses and families as you go. Some of you may want to join with other women in street evangelism, sharing the hope of God with people you come across. Or perhaps you would like to provide some practical help and support for people who are in need in our community, through gardening, baking, cleaning and other acts of service. There is an Impact option for everyone!

NB: High school girls, you will work together as an Impact group, so you don’t need to tick an Impact option box on your registration form. Just make sure that you tick that you are a high school student!
